The first look and trailer for Paddington in Peru, the third instalment in the beloved film series, was unveiled by the makers on Wednesday, nearly seven years after the release of Paddington 2.

“Mr. Brown told me to pack an extra marmalade sandwich for this particular adventure. #PaddingtonInPeru,” the handle of Paddinton Bear wrote on X while sharing the two-minute-21-second trailer.

Paddington in Peru sees Paddington returning to Peru to reunite with Aunt Lucy at the Home for Retired Bears. Joined by the Brown family, they set off on an unanticipated journey through the Amazon rainforest and the mountainous peaks of Peru.

The previous films were set in London, where Paddington had settled after fleeing Peru due to an earthquake that destroyed his home.

Ben Whishaw reprises his role as the voice of the marmalade-loving bear, with Imelda Staunton continuing as the voice of Aunt Lucy. The cast also includes Hugh Bonneville, Dame Julie Walters, Madeleine Harris, and Samuel Joslin. Emily Mortimer takes over the role of Mrs. Brown from Sally Hawkins.

Paddington in Peru will be released on January 17, 2025, in the US, following its UK release on November 8, 2024, via StudioCanal.
