Jamie Lee Curtis, who won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress, is sharing her dream-come-true moment with the internet in her signature fun style. The 64-year-old actress’s win took the Oscar awards tally for multiverse-absurdist drama Everything Everywhere All At Once to seven, and in her emotional acceptance speech, Curtis dedicated it to ‘all the people who have supported the genre movies’ she has built her career on.

On Instagram, Curtis shared a set of pictures from the film and at the Oscars with her ‘BAE’ (Before Anyone Else) — Everything Everywhere co-star Michelle Yeoh, who became the first Asian to receive an Oscar for Best Actress.

Holding her trophy on the awards stage, the 60-year-old Yeoh said, “And ladies, don’t let anybody tell you that you’re past your prime”, with Curtis, 64, cheering her on from the audience with a heart sign. The actresses bonded while filming Everything Everywhere All At Once, where Curtis played Deirdre Beaubeirdre, an auditor who becomes Evelyn Wang’s (Michelle Yeoh) partner in one of the universes in the Best Picture-winning film.

Curtis also shared a video of her turned into a meme after her Oscar win, where she is jumping with joy.

Meaning what she said in her acceptance speech, Curtis posted a photoshopped picture of her character from the 1978 film Halloween holding the Oscar trophy. Curtis debuted in feature films as Laurie Strode in the John Carpenter slasher horror, which earned her the title of ‘scream queen’ early on in her career.

The Oscar now sits on her table alongside her Screen Actors Guild Awards trophy as well as the fictional award that she received in Everything Everywhere All At Once for being the ‘Auditor of the Month’.

In a recent interview to the Today show on NBC, Curtis said she gave her Oscar trophy ‘they/them’ pronouns to honour her daughter Ruby, who is transgender.
