If social media were a forest, then the past few months have seen Orry rage like a wildfire. Orhan Awatramani, popularly known as Orry, is everywhere these days, be it bamboozling Salman Khan on Bigg Boss, revealing his plans of ‘demise’ on Koffee With Karan or being snapped with the who’s who of Bollywood at parties and events. But who exactly is Orry? What does he believe in and what gives purpose to the self-proclaimed ‘liver’? The Telegraph Online finds out in a candid chat with Orry, one of the most viral presences on Indian internet today.

How are you, Orry? You have often spoken about how no one asks you that question.

Orry: Happy, free, sad, confused and lonely, all at the same time. Scared, anxious, nervous and disappointed, but in the best way. But no one cares, like you said right now. I often ask how no one asks cause no one cares.

You have made ‘I’m a liver’ into a catchphrase. What are the things that make life worth living for you?

Orry: When you have a grudge against someone and are plotting revenge, but then karma intervenes and strikes them down. Those are the kind of moments that make life worth living.

What gives you a sense of purpose?

Orry: Good question. I have no purpose. I feel like I jumped off a building and am still falling. Whatever comes my way, I take it because I don’t have a choice. I’m plummeting towards the ground. I can gain nothing, I can lose nothing. I have no purpose, I’m just here falling and enjoying the fall… It’s a lonely feeling falling off this skyscraper. I do feel lonely. But hey, until I hit the ground and crash, I won’t look at it as falling. I’ll think of it like I’m flying.

What is your self-care routine like? What is the importance of self-care for the youth?

Orry: Trick question, how does the youth do self-care? To me, self-care is maintaining your youth, but as a youth you already have it, right? How do you maintain something you already have ? If your hair is black, how do you keep it black? Cause it’s already black? I have no idea.

I’m that boy who uses the same product to wash my hair, body and teeth. I don’t even use a face wash. I believe sunblock is good for anti-aging… maybe retinol, too. But, then again, I wouldn’t know. I believe we look young in our 20s, then old in our 30s, and then young again in our 40s.

You come off as a warm person on social media. What is the secret to that warmth?

Orry: I’m a warm person. I love to love, I love a loving feeling of love. Drown me in love and I’ll drown you in love, too. Live the life you’re loving and love the life you live. Negativity is lame and it’s a downer. No point in being negative. It takes you nowhere and helps no situation. No one wants to be a loser.

Your rise on social media in the last one year has been meteoric. How does it make you feel?

Orry: I’m over it. Life dies quickly. Young, bad boys do it best.

Over the past few months, you have spawned countless memes on social media. What is your favourite?

Orry: ‘Orry is the Mona Lisa of India’. I love it. Best. Genius. Because I am.

On a different note, what is it with your catchy phone covers?

Orry: I just like to make headlines.

Who are your style icons or who all have inspired your style?

Orry: Zayn Malik, Maluma and Vedant Mahajan.

Lastly, what is the craziest lie about yourself that you would like to believe?

Orry: That sometimes I just sit around and believe I’m a star kid.
