“Here's the first look at One Hundred Years Of Solitude — the new series adapted from Gabriel García Márquez's masterpiece novel. In the mythical town of Macondo, the Buendía family confronts a curse, madness and impossible love,” the streaming platform wrote alongside the teaser.

Originally published in 1967, One Hundred Years of Solitude follows seven generations of the Buendía Family in Macondo. Founded by José Arcadio Buendía and Úrsula Iguarán, the town witnesses their dreams and tragedies.

Opening with the unforgettable line “Many years later, as he faced the firing squad, Colonel Aureliano Buendía was to remember that distant afternoon when his father took him to discover ice”, the one-and-a-half-minute teaser takes viewers into García Márquez's enchanting world.

Directed by Laura Mora and Alex García López, the series features a talented ensemble cast hailing from Colombia and Latin America. The cast includes Claudio Cataño as Colonel Aureliano Buendía, Marco González as José Arcadio Buendía, and Susana Morales as Úrsula Iguarán.
