Actress Olivia Colman is set to join hands with Antonio Banderas and Rachel Zegler in Paddington in Peru, the third movie in the popular Paddington film franchise.
Also featuring Hugh Bonneville, Julie Walters, Jim Broadbent, Madeleine Harris and Samuel Joslin, the shoot for the film is likely to start from July. Ben Whishaw and Imelda Staunton will also reprise the voices of Paddington and Aunt Lucy, respectively.
“Paddington’s story is going to come full circle as he returns to Peru to visit his beloved Aunt Lucy, who now resides at the Home for Retired Bears. With the Brown Family in tow, a thrilling adventure ensues when a mystery plunges them into an unexpected journey through the Amazon rainforest and up to the mountain peaks of Peru,” according to the official synopsis.
US-based entertainment magazine Variety reports that Colman will play a nun who runs the Home for Retired Bears, while Banderas will play a dashing and intrepid riverboat captain who offers to help the Brown family on their Peruvian adventure.
Paddington in Peru will be directed by award-winning advertisement filmmaker Dougal Wilson. The screenplay was written by Burton, Jon Foster and James Lamont. Heyday and StudioCanal are producing the feature. Filming will be done on location in London and Peru.
