Aditya Chopra’s directorial debut Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge stands as an iconic milestone in Shah Rukh Khan's illustrious career. Released in 1995, the romcom featured an ensemble cast including Kajol, Amrish Puri and Anupam Kher.

Dil To Pagal Hai, directed by Yash Chopra in 1997, starred Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Karisma Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Aruna Irani and Farida Jalal.

In 2007, Shah Rukh Khan took on a compelling role as a hockey coach in the sports drama Chak De India, helmed by Shimit Amin. The film follows the journey of a former hockey player who strives for redemption after being accused of deliberately losing a match against Pakistan.
