Netflix Tuesday dropped the trailer for XO, Kitty Season 2, and fans are buzzing over a potential cameo by Noah Centineo as Peter Kavinsky. The spin-off series of To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before follows Kitty Song Covey (Anna Cathcart) as she navigates her high school life at the prestigious Korea International School Seoul (KISS).
Season 1 left viewers on a rollercoaster of emotions as Kitty faced heartbreak with Dae Heon (Minyeong Choi), started on a fling with Min Ho (Sang Heon Lee), and discovered her feelings for Yuri (Gia Kim) — leading to questions about her sexuality. The two-minute-11-second-long trailer for the upcoming season promises even more drama, love triangles, and personal growth for Kitty as she returns to Seoul for a new semester.
“This semester, I have my priorities straight. I’m going to hit the books and finally discover who my mom really was. I’m ready to launch Kitty 2.0,” she declares.
But the biggest surprise comes in the form of Peter Kavinsky, whose brief appearance has already sent fans into a frenzy. As Kitty reflects on feeling like an outsider in her new environment, she finds comfort in a “friendly face from home”. The trailer cuts to Kavinsky, who shares a heartfelt pep talk: “You are Kitty Song freaking Covey, don’t you forget it”.
Their emotional reunion is a nostalgic nod to the beloved To All the Boys series, where Kitty played matchmaker for Peter and her sister, Lara Jean. Whether Centineo’s appearance is limited to a single scene or he plays a larger role remains unclear.
The new season of XO, Kitty premieres soon on Netflix on January 16, 2025.
