Nicole Kidman shares BTS glimpses from Expats shoot

The Prime Video series, helmed by Lulu Wang, also features Sarayu Blue, Ji-young Yoo, Brian Tee and Conor James

Actress Nicole Kidman on Saturday shared behind-the-scenes glimpses from the sets of the Amazon Prime drama series Expats, which traces the vibrant and complex life of expatriates in Hong Kong.

The 22-second-long video starts off with Kidman, clad in a green dress, standing in the middle of the street while the camera moves around her capturing the shot. The video goes on to show the Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom star with Tiana Gowen, who plays her daughter in the series.

We also get to Sarayu Blue, Ji-young Yoo and Brian Tee, who the actress called “special people” behind “special memories” in the caption of the video.

Glimpses of Connor James, who plays Kidman’s youngest son Gus in Expats, is also shown being coached by director Lulu Wang. Funny moments like Sarayu animatedly singing, Lulu zooming away on a segway and extras sharing a laugh are showcased. Kidman is shown taking a bow at the end of the video.

The latest video, however, is not the first BTS clip that Kidman shared for Expats.She shared a series of photos of the cast and crew last week, welcoming fans to “come behind the scenes”.

Created and directed by Lulu Wang, Expats is based on the 2016 novel The Expatriates by Janice Y.K. Lee. The series follows the lives of three expatriates in Hong Kong. The driving force of the plot is the sudden disappearance of Gus during a visit to a night market.

Streaming on Prime Video, the series premiered on January 26 with each episode releasing on Friday. Four episodes of the six episode series are currently available on the platform.
