American singer-songwriter Nick Jonas and Indian rapper King’s remixed version of the popular song Maan Meri Jaan has sent the internet into a tizzy with its music video garnering nearly 3 million views since its release on March 10.

The song, which was originally sung by King and released in 2022, has been re-released as a Hindi-English bilingual track, Maan Meri Jaan (Afterlife). Jonas has sung the English lyrics in the song.

“TODAY IS THE DAY I'LL NEVER FORGET. Thanks brother ♥️ everytime I’m listening to this.. 100% goosebumps,” King wrote in response to a behind-the-scenes video posted by Jonas on March 10.

The new version retains the original Hindi lyrics by King. Written by Jonas along with David Arkwright, King, Miranda Glory, Natania Lalwani, and Paris Carney, the 3-minute-5-second song is a perfect mix of Jonas’ music beats and King’s vocals.

King also revealed how he had hoped for a collaboration with Jonas when he started his career. “When Bacon was released I was not even doing music that time…but I started manifesting to work with Nick even before I started doing music officially. This is a personal win for me and my dreams,” King wrote as a comment on the YouTube video of the song.

The Indian hip hop singer had announced the collaboration on Instagram two days before the release of the song.

Produced by Akarsh Shetty, David Arkwright and Saurabh Lokhande, Maan Meri Jaan (Afterlife) is streaming on all music platforms.
