The new Star Jalsha show Bodhua delves into the struggles of Pekham, a modern, independent woman with a daunting past. She deals with complex emotions, hiding her pain from those close to her. Pekham faces immense challenges as her inner struggles take centre stage and she prefers to live discretely with her parents, away from the crowd. On the other hand, Abir, who is deeply, madly and unconditionally in love with Pekham, lives in a close-knit big fat joint family.

After their marriage, Pekham finds it extremely difficult to come close to her husband Abir and confide in him or even have a normal conjugal life. While Abir doesn’t understand the reason for such a dilemma, he promises to stand by her as a steadfast source of strength and love. He tries to bridge the emotional gap between them with his unwavering support for Pekham.

The show is produced by Tent Cinemas, under the supervision of Susanta Das, producer, writer, and creative director for the show. The character of Pekham is played by Jyotirmoyee Kundu and Abir is played by Rezwan. The show features Dipankar Dey as the grandfather of Abir.

Bodhua asks a few compelling questions. Will Pekham ever be able to break her shackles and confide in Abir? Will Abir be able to accept Pekham and continue loving her, even after knowing her past? Can a husband be your ultimate confidante?

Bodhua will air from March 4, Monday to Sunday at 7.30pm only on Star Jalsha.
