New mum Richa Chadha dropped a set of never-before-seen maternity shoot pictures to mark Daughter’s Day on Sunday.

Sharing the pictures on Instagram, the 37-year-old actress wrote, “Maya Angelou said ‘My mother shed her protective love down around me and without knowing why, people sensed I had value’. You will always have value, lil girl.”

In the pictures, the Heeramandi actress can be seen draped in a mustard yellow printed sari. Her body is adorned with geometric symbols as she flaunts her baby bump with pride. The photos were taken during the ninth month of her pregnancy.

“These photos were taken in month 9 of my pregnancy by @harshphotography11 . The sacred geometry symbols on my body have been painted by @avantika_1988 or @womenpow The flower of life on my navel, and the symbol of the divine feminine on my chest,” Richa wrote, adding that she adorned her body with feminine symbols even though she wasn’t aware at the time that she was having a daughter.

Paying a tribute to women, Richa added, “Woman. Sacred vessel of the universe, clones herself to make another in her image.”

“Happy Daughter’s day little girl. We will see these pictures together one day, where you posed inside and I was bursting at the seams… this one is for us, so outsiders can look but can’t speak,” the Fukrey actress signed off.

Richa and her husband, actor Ali Fazal, welcomed their first child on July 16. “Doing a collab post to announce the biggest collab of our lives!! We’ve been blessed indeed. Our baby girl continues to keep us very very busy.

So Thank you all for your love and blessings,” Ali wrote on Instagram alongside a picture of their daughter’s tiny feet after she was born.

The actor-couple announced their pregnancy on February 9. “A tiny heartbeat is the loudest sound in our world,” Ali wrote in the caption, revealing the news alongside two images.

Ali and Richa tied the knot in October 2022 after dating each other for 10 years.
