MX Player on Friday released a new set of Hindi-dubbed Chinese and Korean shows, including romcoms, legal dramas and crime thrillers, to be streamed under the MX VDesi category from March. Here’s a look.
Meeting You
This romantic comedy series revolves around two completely different individuals. Reclusive genius Nan Xi (played by Guo Junchen) and talkative girl Xia Rui (played by Wan Peng) never thought that their paths would cross one day. But fate has different plans for the duo.
Meeting You will be streaming on MX Player from March 1.
Love Unexpected
Chinese romantic drama Love Unexpected chronicles how an MMA gym owner’s young and empathetic daughter Ke Si Yi (Yandi Qi) goes to lengths to save her father’s boxing club. To do so, she chooses to be the bodyguard of an emotionless Xu Nuo (Shiqi fan), who can decide the fate of the club. Gradually, a bond develops between the protector and the protected and Xu Nuo’s long-lost emotions begin to return.
Love Unexpected is scheduled to arrive on MX Player on March 8.
Suspicious Partner
Popular Korean romantic crime thriller series Suspicious Partner revolves around prosecutor Noh Ji-Wook (Ji Chang-wook) and trainee lawyer Eun Bong-hee (played by Nam Ji-hyun). The two cross paths when Bong-hee was mistakenly accused of a crime she didn't commit. Despite the initial misunderstandings, the two develop a close bond as they work together to solve a murder case. As they unravel the mysteries surrounding the case, they find themselves caught in a web of lies and deceit.
Suspicious Partner will be streaming on MX Player in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali and Malayalam from March 15.
Ms. Hammurabi
Ms. Hammurabi is a gripping Korean legal drama that sheds light on the inner workings of the judicial system in Korea and the challenges judges face on a regular basis. The show follows the story of Park Cha Oh-reum (Go Ara), a passionate and idealistic judge who believes in justice and fairness. She is joined by two other judges — former prosecutor Im Ba-reun (Myung-Soo Kim) and veteran judge Han Se-sang. Together, the three judges navigate the complex legal system and tackle various cases that test their moral compass.
Ms. Hammurabi will arrive on MX Player on March 22.
All I Want For Love Is You
All I Want For Love Is You is a romantic comedy series, starring Zhaohua Lua and Xinyu Han, that revolves around two third-year classmates — Sanda fighter Gu Xiao Man and school genius Zuo — who decide to help each other with studies to enter the same university. However, university life for both Gu Xiao Man and Zuo is different. While the former is above average in studies, the latter struggles to sail through. The unlikely duo also grows closer together as their long-harboured feelings for each other finally begin to surface.
All I Want For Love Is You is scheduled to arrive on MX Player on March 29.
