American singer-songwriter Billie Eilish’s song Birds of a Feather from her upcoming album Hit Me Hard and Soft has been teased in a new clip from the upcoming Season 3 of Netflix teen drama series Heartstopper, dropped by the streamer on Monday.

“An exclusive snippet of Billie Eilish’s ‘Birds of a Feather’ from the upcoming album Hit Me Hard and Soft.🍂Heartstopper Season 3, on 3 October, only on Netflix,” the streamer wrote alongside the clip shared on Instagram.

The video begins with Joe Locke’s Charlie Spring practising how to confess his love to his classmate Nick (Kit Connor). Right then, Charlie’s older sister Jenny enters the room and convinces him to be honest with Nick about his true feelings. In the next scene, we see Nick appearing on Charlie’s doorstep, waiting for him to walk to school together. They flirt a bit with the chorus of Eilish’s new song playing in the background.

Recently, Netflix announced that Bridgerton star Jonathan Bailey will make a cameo appearance as Jack Maddox, Charlie’s ‘Instagram-famous crush’ in the upcoming season. Apart from Bailey, Captain America: The First Avenger actress Hayley Atwell and Back to Black’s Eddie Marsan are also joining the cast as Nick’s Aunt Diane and Charlie’s therapist Geoff.

The announcements come in the wake of Heartstopper comics and show creator Alice Oseman’s revelation last month that Olivia Colman, who played Nick’s mother Sarah, would not be reprising her role in the third season.

The filming for Heartstopper Season 3 ended in December last year, and the new eight-episode series is slated to release on October 3.

Adapted from Oseman’s Heartstopper comics, the Netflix show revolves around Charlie and Nick who navigate high school and young love. After meeting for the first time, when they are made to sit together in class, Charlie and Nick’s unlikely friendship turns into something more in the teenage coming-out story.
