Netflix’s coming-of-age dramedy series Never Have I Ever is set to return with its fourth and final season on June 8, the streamer announced on Thursday alongside a teaser that offers a glimpse into the life of Maitreyi Ramakrishnan’s Devi and her friends in the final year of high school.
The one-minute-six-second-long teaser introduces us to Devi’s new crush Ethan (Michael Cimino), who arrives right after Paxton (Darren Barnet) leaves for college. The teaser also hints that the two might get together in the coming episodes.
A wedding is also set to take place in the final season, the makers of the show have announced. It would most likely be between Devi’s cousin Kamala (Richa Moorjani) and her new boyfriend Manish Kulkarni (Utkarsh Ambudkar). Devi's mother, Dr. Vishwakumar (Poorna Jagannathan), will have a new arrival in her love life this season while her mother-in-law Nirmala (Ranjita Chakravarty) will be meeting a new man who makes her reconsider her ideas about relationships.
Showrunners Mindy Kaling and Lang Fisher are also executive producers for the show, which follows the complicated modern-day life of the first generation Indian-American teenager Devi.
The third season saw Devi break up with her long-standing crush Paxton, decide upon not going to her dream school and lose her virginity to her archrival-turned-crush Ben Gross (Jaren Lewison).
