Netflix has revealed the names of the actors who will play the four Baroque Works agents in its live-action series One Piece Season 2.

While Late Night with the Devil star David Dastmalchian has been cast as the cunning wax manipulator Mr 3, Raised by Wolves star Daniel Lasker will play Mr. 9. Batwoman’s Camrus Johnson is set as Mr 5 and Warrior actress Jazzara Jaslyn will portray Miss Valentine.

“Out from the shadows comes your first look at who’s playing the Baroque Works agents,” the makers wrote on the official Instagram page of the series on Tuesday, alongside collages of each actor with their respective characters from the anime adaptation.

The four characters are key members of the criminal syndicate Baroque Works in the popular manga created by Eiichiro Oda. The clandestine organisation is led by the Warlord Crocodile. However, the name of the actor set to play Crocodile hasn’t been revealed yet. The name of the actress for Crocodile’s partner, Nico Robin, has also not been announced.

One Piece Season 2 will likely cover the events leading up to the Arabasta Arc of the manga. The first season of One Piece live-action starred Iñaki Godoy as the aspiring pirate king Monkey D. Luffy. Luffy’s Straw Hat pirate crew — comprising Roronoa Zoro, Nami, Usopp and Sanji — were played by Mackenyu, Emily Rudd, Jacob Romero and Taz Skylar, respectively. All of them are reprising their roles for the second season and will confront the Baroque Works members.

Set in the world of pirates, the story follows Monkey D. Luffy, a young boy who sets sail with his wacky crew on a perilous journey across the Grand Line to find the legendary treasure One Piece.

The anime adaptation of the manga series, which began in 1997, was produced by Toei Animation studios. It premiered on Fuji TV in October 1999 and is still streaming with over a thousand episodes.

Directed by Matt Owens and Steven Maeda jointly, One Piece live-action series topped Netflix’s top 10 global list for weeks after its debut on August 31 last year.
