In the one-minute-54-second-long trailer, Brenner asserts that Eleven is “not ready” at this time in her training to regain her previous level of strength. Eleven is shown urgently seeking to return to her friends in Hawkins. “Your friends are not prepared for this fight”, he tells her, adding, “Hawkins will fall.”

Will warns Mike that Vecna won't stop “until he's taken everyone,” Robin confides in Steve that she has a “terrible feeling” that “it might not work out for us this time,” and Vecna informs Eleven that “your friends have lost.”

The concluding images in the Volume 2 trailer show Eleven utilising her powers to the fullest in an intense pre-final season battle before a huge explosion in the desert and then inside the Creel house, covered in crimson light.
