Following the success of Venom: The Last Dance, Tom Hardy is gearing up for an action-thriller film titled Havoc, set to drop on Netflix in 2025, the streamer announced on Monday, sharing the actor’s first look.
Directed by Gareth Evans, known for his work on The Raid and Gangs of London, Havoc features the Oscar-nominated actor as a bruised detective dealing with the criminal underworld during his fight to rescue a politician’s estranged son after a drug deal went disastrously wrong.
The first-look image from the film shows Hardy looking forward, engaged in a tense standoff with an assailant at his side, who winces in pain.
Behind Hardy, a group of people appears oblivious to the unfolding interaction, heightening the suspense in the scene. The film’s gritty tone is clear, with the dark lighting setting the stage for a thrilling, action-packed narrative.
In addition to Hardy, Havoc boasts an ensemble cast, including Jessie Mei Li, Justin Cornwell, Quelin Sepulveda, Luis Guzmán, Michelle Waterson, Sunny Pang, Jim Caesar, Xelia Mendes-Jones, Yeo Yann Yann, Timothy Olyphant, and Forest Whitaker.
Havoc is produced by Gareth Evans, Ed Talfan, Aram Tertzakian, and Tom Hardy.
Venom: The Last Dance, Hardy’s latest big-screen release, has garnered USD 436 million worldwide since its release on October 25. The third instalment in the Venom franchise also starred Juno Temple, Rhys Ifans, Cristo Fernández, Peggy Lu, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Andy Serkis.
