In the countdown to Season 4 of Never Have I Ever, Netflix has dropped a new promotional video and it is all things horror. The video is a compilation of moments from the previous three seasons of the Maitreyi Ramakrishnan-headlined teen drama. ‘WARNING! This teenage drama is not for faint-hearted. Ever imagined what will happen if Devi’s life takes a dark twist?’ reads the caption, setting an ominous tone.

The one-minute-15-second video starts off with the question, ‘What if Prashant (Rushi Kota) came here tomorrow, and found everyone chopped up into little pieces by a murderer?’

The rest of the video has snippets stitched together in a way that it looks like a horror teen drama along the lines of Riverdale. Devi lets out a scream in the class, throws her math textbook out of the window and chugs a bottle of what looks like beer; and then she gets hit by a car on prom night.

Created by Mindy Kaling and Lang Fisher, Never Have I Ever centres around Indian-American high schooler Devi Vishwakumar (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) as she deals with life after her father’s death and juggles studies, friendships, boy drama and more. Also starring Poorna Jagannathan, Richa Moorjani, Ramona Young, Lee Rodriguez, Jaren Lewison and Darren Barnet, the final season of the Netflix series will premiere on June 8.
