Apart from the three new faces, the 45-second teaser also highlights the return of familiar faces, including Tom Sturridge as Dream, the central Sandman, Kirby Howell-Baptiste as Death, Donna Preston as Despair and Mason Alexander Park as Desire.
The returning cast further features Patton Oswalt as Matthew the Raven, Vivienne Acheampong as Lucienne, Gwendoline Christie as Lucifer Morningstar, Jenna Coleman as Johanna Constantine, Ferdinand Kingsley as Hob Gadling, Stephen Fry as Gilbert/Fiddler's Green, Asim Chaudhry as Abel, Sanjeev Bhaskar as Cain, Vanesu Samunyai as Rose Walker and Razane Jammal as Lyta Hall.
The Sandman, based on Neil Gaiman's renowned graphic novels, was released on Netflix in August 2022. Within three days of its release, The Sandman topped Netflix's global Top 10 list, amassing 69.5 million hours viewed. In its first full week, the show continued to dominate, maintaining its position as the most-watched series on Netflix's weekly Top 10 list, with an impressive 127.5 million hours viewed.
The show was renewed for a second season in November 2022, but the production was affected due to the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes last year. As of now, there is no official release date for The Sandman Season 2.
