Pop singer Neha Kakkar has joined Karan Johar’s Dharma Cornerstone Agency, a talent management agency launched in December 2020, the producer-filmmaker announced on Monday.
“We are so THRILLED to have @nehakakkar joining our DCA music family! I have known Neha for years and she is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to talent & hard work in the field of music. To many many many paths to be carved ahead, blazing with power, love & music,” the 52-year-old filmmaker wrote on social media.
Neha reacted to the post, expressing her excitement for the new job. “You the best!!!! Equally thrilled,” she wrote in the comment section, prompting her brother Tonny Kakkar to write, “Legendary.”
Dharma Cornerstone Agency is the product of a collaboration between Karan’s Dharma Productions and Bunty Sajdeh’s talent management firm Cornerstone, which manages sportspersons like Virat Kohli, Sania Mirza and Yuvraj Singh.
The music wing of the agency recently welcomed Shakti Mohan, Palak Muchhal, Arjun Kanungo, Jubin Nautiyal and Nemo.
In February, social media influencer Orhan Awatramani, better known as Orry, also joined the agency. “Orhan Awatramani or as the world knows him- @orry - is a mastermind in spreading joy while keeping his endeavors mysterious,” the team wrote on its official Instagram, announcing the news back then.
On the work front, Karan is all set to co-produce Vasan Bala’s thriller Jigra starring Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina, slated to release in September. He recently produced Vicky Kaushal and Triptii Dimri’s upcoming romcom Bad Newz, which will hit theatres on July 19.
