Actors Anil Kapoor, Gulshan Devaiah and Ali Fazal have heaped praises on the Vidya Balan-starrer whodunnit Neeyat, which has arrived in theatres across the country today.
Sharing a poster of the film on his Instagram Story on Thursday, Anil Kapoor on Thursday wrote about the brilliance of the murder mystery and praised Vidya’s performance in it. “Just witnessed the cinematic brilliance of Neeyat tonight. A standing ovation to the outstanding team behind it!!! @balanvidya always a pleasure to watch you on screen.”
Tagging several cast and crew members of the film, Anil Kapoor went on to write, “A standing ovation to the outstanding team behind it, including @balanvidya Anu Menon and Abundantia Entertainment. You have created a masterpiece that will leave a lasting impression.”
Dahaad star Gulshan Devaiah shared a mirror selfie from the premiere night on Wednesday, revealing that the whodunnit had left him grasping for straws as well. “Enjoy the guessing game. I only got a little part of it right,” he wrote.
The Anu Menon directorial also managed to impress Ali Fazal, who shared a selfie with Neeyat stars Shashank Arora and Amrita Puri on social media on Thursday. “You peeps killed it yesterday… great performances as usual,” he wrote in the caption.
Rohit Saraf was proud of his Mismatched co-star Prajakta Koli’s performance in the film. "Your charm on the big screen is palpable and you make me so so proud," he wrote on his Instagram Story on Thursday, adding, “@balanvidya ma'am, it's a treat to watch you perform each character with such brilliance and ease. You're extraordinary!!! And my most favourite.”
Neeyat sees Vidya take on the role of a sleuth once again after Bobby Jasoos (2014). The murder mystery also stars an ensemble cast including Ram Kapoor, Rahul Bose, Neeraj Kabi, Shahana Goswami and Dipannita Sharma. The plot centres around a mysterious death at a billionaire’s party. where everyone has a secret and it is up to Vidya’s Mira Rao to figure out the culprit.
