Veteran actress Neena Gupta brings internet sensation ‘Ganji Chudail’ to life with a Gen-Z makeover in a new comedy video dropped by YouTube India on Friday. The video also features beauty influencers ShivShakti Sachdev, Ishita Mangal and Sakshi Sidwani.
In the hilarious clip, Neena appears in the animated character’s green, bald look, which recently went viral on social media. She enters a cave with her feet backwards and approaches the three YouTubers she has abducted. An ominous voice sets the tone for the video, saying, “Ek baar teen YouTubers ko kidnap kar leti hai, Ganji Chudail.”
Neena says, “Thak gayi hoon meme banke, ab tum teeno mujhe babe banaoge (I’m tired of being the topic of memes, you three will now turn me into a babe).”
She threatens to delete their social media accounts if they refuse to help her. The three girls finally surrender and agree to give her a Gen-Z makeover.
After they are freed, the beauty influencers get down to work on the witch’s makeup. At first, they find difficulty in finding the right foundation for her green complexion, hilariously pointing out the beauty industry’s lack of inclusivity. The trio finally settle for a green foundation after some trial and error.
Taking help from YouTube makeup tutorials, the trio go for a makeover of Ganji Chudail, giving her a hair spa, a smokey eye look and a blingy outfit. At the end, Ganji Chudail turns into a “youth icon” with an edgy makeover.
“From BHOOT icon 🧟♀️ to YOUTH icon 💃. The glow-up to end all glow-ups is here 🥰💋#GenZChudail,” YouTube India wrote on Instagram alongside the video.
Neena’s daughter Masaba took to the comments section and wrote, “IM DEAD 😂.” Fashion influencer Pushpak Sen commented, “I AM GAGGED SCREAAAAMMMMMIIIIIIIINNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGG.”
ShivShakti Sachdev, who features in the video, wrote, “I literally manifested Ganji Chudail in my lifeeeee! Thank you @youtubeindia for this opportunity!!! Ganji Chudail Makeover by ME @stylemeupwithsakshi and @ishitamangal.”
Neena was recently seen in Disney+ Hotstar’s 1000 Babies alongside Sanju Sivaram, Ashwin Kumar and Adil Ibrahim. She will next star in Hindi Vindi, a musical that also stars Mihir Ahuja and Guy Sebastian.
