Netflix on Saturday dropped the official trailer for Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairytale, a docu-series based on the life of actress Nayanthara, who made her Bollywood debut with Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan last year after winning the title ‘Lady Superstar’ down south for her performances in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada movies.
The docu-series highlights Nayanthar’s journey as a successful actress and her roles as a daughter, sister, wife, and mother.
Set to release on November 18, the actress's birthday, the trailer for the documentary offers a glimpse into Nayanthara’s life—from her humble beginnings to her rise as a celebrated superstar. It also features exclusive interviews with Nayanthara, her friends, and peers, including Taapsee Pannu, Rana Daggubati, Nagarjuna Akkineni, and her husband, filmmaker Vignesh Shivan.
The trailer also features scenes of the actress preparing for her shots on the film sets, receiving awards and enjoying life.
The trailer offers unseen footage of Nayanthara’s wedding, which was attended by celebrities like Rajinikanth, Mani Ratnam and actress’ Jawan co-star Shah Rukh Khan. Vignesh described the June 2022 event at Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu as an “Out-of-the-world wedding”. Nayanthara and Vignesh welcomed their twin sons, Uyir and Ulagam, in October of the same year.
When asked what made Nayanthara decide to make a docu-series based on her life, the Kaashmora actress said, “I just want everyone to feel a little bit of happiness, when they see other people’s happiness. We never think from their perspective. Why not now?”
Nayanthara was last seen in Annapoorani: The Goddess of Food. She is set to appear in Test alongside R. Madhavan and Siddharth.
Additionally, the 39-year-old actress will be seen in the Malayalam film Dear Students alongside her Love Action Drama co-star Nivin Pauly.
Nayanthara will also star alongside Kavin in Vishu Edavan’s yet-untitled directorial debut.
