Five years after exiting The Kapil Sharma Show, former cricketer and commentator Navjot Singh Sidhu is teaming up with Kapil again, this time for The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix.

In a sneak peek shared by the streamer on social media, Sidhu is seen sitting in the chair that is now occupied by Archana Puran Singh, his successor. Sindhu will be accompanied by his wife Navjot Kaur Sidhu, cricketer Harbhajan Singh, and Harbhajan’s wife Geeta Basra as guests.

The caption accompanying the video on Instagram reads, “Tussi ho jaao taiyaar kyunki Punjab di shaan aa rahe hai iss Funnyvaar Watch @navjotsinghsidhu,@harbhajan3 & their better halves @navjot1618 & @geetabasra on the new episode of #TheGreatIndianKapilShow, this Funnyvaar, at 8 pm, only on Netflix”.

In the promo, Sidhu humorously remarks while sitting in Archana’s chair, “Ab motorcycle nahi, car chahiye, abey audience saari keh rahi hai ki sardaar chahiye,” suggesting that his return to the show is something viewers have been eagerly awaiting. His witty remark prompts laughter from Kapil Sharma and the rest of the team.

Sidhu also hugs Archana in the promo, who then takes a dig at the former cricketer. “Sidhu Ji, I always wish you well because you left (this show) at the right time,” prompting a hearty laugh from Sidhu. In response, Harbhajan says, “No matter who occupies the seat, that doesn’t make them Sidhu”.

Sidhu, Harbhajan and their spouses also dance to the beats of bhangra with Kapil and his team.

Sidhu had been a part of The Kapil Sharma Show since its debut in 2013, quickly becoming one of the most beloved characters on the show, thanks to his infectious laughter. However, in 2019, he had to step down, and Archana Puran Singh took over his position.
