Well, well, well! The ninth episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 2 dropped on Netflix, and let's just say, if laughter is medicine, this episode was a full-blown pharmacy! And who was at the heart of all this LOL? Navjot Singh Sidhu x 2! Yes, the original chair-man of the Kapil Sharma show plus Sunil Grover in the garb of Sidhu!

Also on the couch were Sidhu’s wife Navjot Kaur, cricket star Harbhajan Singh and his wife Geeta Basra.

A Sidhu-sized episode

From the moment Sidhu parked himself on his long-lost chair, it was clear he would be the MVP (Most Vocal Performer) of the episode. His return meant that this episode was filled with Sidhu’s infectious laughs, his signature shayari, and anecdotes that left everyone in splits.

But Sidhu didn’t return alone — his wife, Navjot Kaur Sidhu, joined him on stage, and their romantic roast session was a delight. Who knew the secret to a long-lasting marriage was roasting your partner on national television?

And speaking of roasts, poor Kapil Sharma hardly got a word in! The episode could well have been renamed The Navjot Show for the night. Even our ‘doosra’ king, Harbhajan, was caught in a spin of Sidhuisms.

Geeta Basra was a sport, especially when she requested Kapil not to call her to his show a third time if that meant a parenthood hat-trick for the couple! Our Turbanator, on cue, was all keen to mark his run-up again much to the amusement of the Sidhus and the audience.

The episode took a heartwarming turn when the Sidhus recounted Navjot Kaur’s battle with cancer and the toll it took on them. But just when you thought you’d reach for a tissue, our man Sidhu would drop another punchline to lighten the mood.

Is it Sidhu or… Sunil Grover?!

The stage was then set for Manjot Singh Sindhu – aka Sunil Grover. Dressed just like The Sidhu, walking his walk and talking his talk, Sunil’s Manjot had the OG – and everyone watching – in splits. If doing a Sidhu as well as Sidhu wasn’t enough, Sunil Grover even tossed in an Arnab Goswami here and a Kapil Dev there to own this comedy night.

Archana vs Sidhu hot-seat hoopla

The jokes about Sidhu reclaiming his old spot were flying left, right, and centre, but Archana Puran Singh took it all with her trademark roaring laugh. The hot-seat hoopla ended on a warm note with Sidhu announcing that he would only return to the Kapil show if he was allowed to share the spotlight (read: kursi) with Archana.
