Nani’s six-year-old son Arjun played the song Hoyna Hoyna from the actor’s 2019 film Nani's Gang Leader on his keyboard to celebrate his father’s 40th birthday on February 24, shows a video shared by the Hi Nanna actor’s wife Anjana Yelavarthy on Instagram.

Sharing pictures and videos from the birthday bash on Monday, Anjana wrote, “The weekend that was! We celebrated four decades of the guy I’ve known for half my life.” She added that despite having a tendency of avoiding celebrations and surprises like they are “haunted houses”, Nani has a soft spot for tiny gestures.

“A good song can move him, a sappy ad can tear him up, and a small surprise can turn him all mushy! It really takes only that much,” Anjana wrote in the caption.

“This time, it was Junnu who really got him with a sweet surprise that he had planned for his Nanna’s big day,” Anjana mentioned in her post. She also referred to the song Arjun Makes Nani Proud from the actor’s 2019 sports drama Jersey, saying, “This truly felt like that moment.”

“This is for the special person today, my nanna. I know he loves music and I thought to give him a gift today,” Arjun, lovingly called Junnu, said before playing the song composed by Anirudh Ravinchander. Nani gazes at his son with awe as the latter performs the song passionately. The actor felt immensely proud of his son after recognising the song.

Anjana captured a candid moment between Nani and Arjun as they sat side by side in front of an electronic keyboard.

While the second photo shows Nani and Anjana holding their little boy and kissing him from both sides, the third picture shows the couple sharing a romantic moment.

We also get a glimpse of the Apple logo-themed cake, which featured an iPhone fondant with earphones at the top. “Happy birthday to the (apple) of my life,” reads the wish at the bottom.

Nani was last seen in Hi Nanna alongside Mrunal Thakur and in Dasara alongside Keerthy Suresh. A teaser of his upcoming action film Saripodhaa Sanivaaram was dropped on his birthday.
