Nandamuri Balakrishna is a fierce man on a mission to defeat a band of village goons in the first-look teaser of his upcoming Telugu film, tentatively titled NBK 109, dropped by the makers on Monday. The film also stars Bobby Deol as the antagonist.
Dropped by the makers on the actor’s 64th birthday on Monday, the 58-second-long teaser begins with goons wielding weapons and walking through a fog-covered place. A bold voiceover plays in the background which says that God is merciful to the wicked as well. However, to end the evil forces lurking in the dark, the villagers need someone who “knows no pity, mercy or sympathy”. In other words, an “asurudu” or demon.
In the next scene, we see Nandamuri arriving at a railway station, sporting a beard and mustache. He walks on the platform with an intense look on his face.
The highlight of the teaser is towards the end when Nandamuri rides his horse through a place engulfed in flames.
“The Monster has arrived!! #NBK109 Birthday Glimpse Out Now. Wishing the GOD OF MASSES #NandamuriBalakrishna garu a very Happy Birthday,” production house Sithara Entertainments wrote alongside a poster of the film.
In the poster shared along with the teaser, Nandamuri sits on the driver’s seat of a car and smokes with a pensive look on his face.
Bobby Deol plays the antagonist in the film. Directed by Waltair Veerayya helmer Bobby Kolli, the film also stars Urvashi Rautela and Chandini Chowdary. Thaman has served as the music director.
NBK 109 went on floors in November last year. “Blood Bath Ka Brand Name.
Violence ka visiting card. #NBK109 Shoot begins today!! Beginning a new journey with our Natasimham #NandamuriBalakrishna garu. I seek your blessings and support, as always,” filmmaker Bobby Kolli wrote on X.
The upcoming film is backed by Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainments and Sai Soujanya of Fortune Four Cinema.
