Former Team India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni and his wife Sakshi Singh on Sunday congratulated Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant on their wedding, wishing the newlyweds happiness.

“Radhika, may your radiant smile never fade! Anant, please continue to cherish and care for Radhika with the same love and kindness you show to everyone around you,” Dhoni wrote on Instagram alongside a picture of Radhika hugging him. “May your married life be filled with happiness, laughter, and adventure. Congratulations and see you guys soon,” he added in his note.

Netizens were quick to notice Deepika Padukone in the background with her husband Ranveer Singh.

For her wedding, Radhika donned a red-and-white lehenga choli, keeping with the age-old Panetar tradition. The ivory zardozi cut-work outfit featured a flowing ghagra with a detachable second trail.

“Radhika and Anant, congratulations on your marriage! May your love continue to shine bright, just like Radhika’s smile and Anant’s kind heart. May you have a lifetime of happiness, laughter, and adventure together … lots of love and warmth always from us Dhonis,” wrote Sakshi on Instagram alongside a group picture of her and Dhoni with the bride and groom after their wedding.

Dhoni and Sakshi jointly run production company Dhoni Entertainment, which predominantly makes films down south. Dhoni, 43, was also one of the key players for IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings this year.

Soon after their posts were shared, Jawan actress Nayanthara dropped a picture of herself and her husband Vignesh Shivan with Dhoni and Sakshi from the wedding. “@mahi7781 @sakshisingh_r. The Mosssttt Sweetest Sir & Mammm. You guys are just Pure Love. Stay Blessed foreverrrr,” she wrote.

Nayanthara looked gorgeous in a kota sari featuring silver and gold zari. She paired her ensemble with handcrafted antique ruby and gold jewellery.

The event was held at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai on July 12. It was attended by numerous celebrities from Bollywood like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Katrina Kaif, Shahid Kapoor, Mira Rajput and the Bachchan family.

From Hollywood, John Cena, Kim and Khloe Kardashian, Rema and Nick Jonas were in attendance.

Radhika and Anant’s wedding was followed by a shubh aashirwad ceremony on July 13 and a reception on July 14. Another reception party will be held on July 15 in Mumbai.
