Actresses Mrunal Thakur and Radhika Apte are among the nine new brides of the upcoming Season 2 of Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti's Prime Video series Made in Heaven, the streamer announced on Sunday.
TV host-singer Shibani Dandekar, Sacred Games actress Elnaaz Norouzi, and actresses Sarah Jane Dias, Naina Sareen, Kali and Sheena Khalid will play the new brides in the drama series alongside Radhika and Mrunal, Prime Videos announced in an Instagram post.
“We’re all set to welcome the brides and attend the Made In Heaven weddings, again✨ #MadeInHeavenOnPrime S2, Aug 10,” the streaming platform wrote on the social media platform alongside pictures of the new brides decked up for their big wedding day.
Directed by Alankrita Shrivastava, Neeraj Ghaywan, Nitya Mehra, Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar, the series is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Media & Entertainment and Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti’s Tiger Baby Films.
The seven-episode series is set against the backdrop of Indian weddings and the trials and tribulations that these weddings bring with them. Season 2 of Made in Heaven will arrive on Prime Video on August 10.
The upcoming season will see Sobhita Dhulipala, Arjun Mathur, Jim Sarbh, Kalki Koechlin, Shashank Arora, Shivani Raghuvanshi and Vijay Raaz reprising their roles. Season 2 will also feature Mona Singh, Ishwak Singh and Trinetra Haldar.
Earlier, the streamers shared the poster of the second season of the show along with the release date. “Times will change, weddings will turn grand, Made In Heaven is coming back! #MadeInHeavenOnPrime S2, Aug 10,” read the caption.
