Mr Bean: The Animated Series is set to return for a fourth season in 2025, the official page of the British sitcom announced on Thursday, revealing that Rowan Atkinson will be reprising his role as the voice actor for the popular character.
“Bean is Back! Mr Bean: The Animated Series is returning for a fourth season in 2025,” the official page of the animated series wrote on X, stating that the latest season will be executively produced by Atkinson.
“I have always enjoyed this iteration of the Mr Bean character and the particular freedoms he has in animated form. We can take him into space or down a tin mine, without me personally having to suffer the consequences,” Atkinson said.
Comprising 52 episodes, each running for 11 minutes, the upcoming series will see Mr Bean and Teddy embarking together on hilarious adventures.
To mark the 35th anniversary of the first live-action episode, the animated series will air on Cartoonito and HBO Max across Europe, Middle East and Africa. It will be shown across southeast Asia and south Asia on Warner Bros. Discovery’s kids channels and streaming services, while those in the UK and Eire will be able to watch the show on ITVX Kids.
Coming up as a British sitcom in 1990, Mr Bean has been broadcasted in all countries over the years. The comical character was played by Atkinson, who later lent his voice to the animated series released in 2002.
Created in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery and ITVX, Mr Bean: The Animated Series is directed by Dave Osborne and written by Ciaran Murtagh and Andrew Barnett Jones.
