Following the release of Pawan Kalyan’s Ustad Bhagat Singh teaser and Prabhas’s Adipurush trailer, the makers of several upcoming Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam films dropped new trailers and teasers last week. Here’s a look.
Modern Love Chennai (Tamil)
Amazon Prime Video unveiled the official trailer of its upcoming series Modern Love Chennai. This edition of the anthology series is helmed by Bharathiraja, Balaji Sakthivel, Thiagarajan Kumararaja, Rajumurugan, Krishnakumar Ramakumar, Akshay Sundher. The show stars Ritu Varma, Ashok Selvan, Ramya Nambessan, Wamiqa, Sri Gouri Priya, Samyuktha Vishwanathan, Pawan Alex, Aniiruth Kanakarajan, T J Bhanu, Sanjula Sarathi, Chu Khoy Sheng, Srikrishna Dayal, Vasudevan Murali, Vasundhara, Kishore and Vijayalakshmi.
The two-minute-56-second-long trailer gives us glimpses of six different love stories in and around the city of Chennai.
Modern Love Chennai will arrive on Prime Video on May 18.
Anni Manchi Sakunamule (Telugu)
The makers of the upcoming Telugu-language romantic drama film Anni Manchi Sakunamule dropped the official trailer of the film. Directed by Nandini Reddy, it stars Santosh Soban, Malvika Nair, Rajendra Prasad, Rao Ramesh, Naresh and Gauthami.
The two-minute-seven-second-long trailer chronicles the love story of Rishi (Santosh Sobhan) and Arya (Malvika Nair). Rishi is a very positive person despite some hiccups in his career. Arya, on the other hand, is highly calculative when it comes to money. These two unlikely persons fall in love, but their relationship gets doomed.
Anni Manchi Sakunamule will arrive in cinemas on May 18.
Kubusa (Kannada)
A2 Music shared the official teaser of its upcoming Kannada-language film Kubusa. Helmed by Raghuram Charan, the film stars Nataraj S Bhat, Mahalaxmi and Manjamma Jogathi..
The two-minute-long teaser introduces us to two couples in rural Karnataka. The video shows us glimpses of their courtship and marriage. However, hardships, poverty and addiction change their lives soon after.
Neeraja (Malayalam)
T-Series Malayalam released the official trailer of its upcoming Malayalam-language film Neeraja. Written and directed by Rajesh K Raman, the film stars Guru Somasundaram, Sruthi Ramchandran, Govind Padmasoorya, Jinu Joseph and Srinda.
In the two-minute-16-second-long trailer, we see two parallel stories of Neeraja as a widow and a married woman. At the beginning, we see some intimate moments between Neeraj and her late husband. Later, we see Neeraja is struggling to cope with the death of her husband. We also see the loveless marriage of the other couple.
