Koel Mallick and her film producer husband Nispal Singh have announced the birth of their second child, a baby girl. The actress shared the news on social media on Saturday morning.

“We are blessed with a baby girl. 14.12.2024. Regards, Koel and Nispal,” read the caption on a poster featuring pictures of teddy bears, feeding bottles, balloons, soft toys and tiny slippers.

The news has been met with an outpouring of wishes from Koel’s fans and colleagues from the film industry. Koel’s co-star Jeet, actress Ridhima Ghosh and singer Akriti Kakkar were among those who congratulated the couple in the comments.

Earlier this year, on Mahalaya, Koel had revealed that her family was expecting a new member. “Happy to share that our family is growing & Kabir will soon take up the role of a big brother!!!! Love & blessings are much needed ,” she had posted on Instagram in October.

Koel and Nispal, who’s the head of Surinder Films, had welcomed their son, Kabir, in 2020.
