Mission Majnu producer Garima Mehta recently praised actress Rashmika Mandanna for her dedication towards acting and her ability to ease stressful situations with a smile.
“Rashmika took weeks of training to ace her role as the blind girl. During preparation, we bonded over our love of Korean dramas and desserts. She is flawless in her craft, which comes from the hard work she puts into preparing for a role. A delightful person to be around, she can melt even a stressful situation with her smile and good vibes on the set. She would play cricket with the team during breaks and played better than most of them. I hope this becomes a long-lasting relationship and we do many more films together,” said Garima, known for films like Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Hero and Tubelight.
With over two decades of scripting and production experience with companies like Fox Star Studios, Salman Khan Ventures, Ramesh Sippy Entertainment and Cineyug Entertainment, Garima is currently at the forefront of running her production house, Guilty By Association, in partnership with Amar Butala.
The Sidharth Kapoor and Rashmika-starrer Mission Majnu, which released on Netflix on January 20, is the first production of Guilty By Association.
Set in the 1970s, Mission Majnu follows the story of a RAW spy on a mission in Pakistan.
Rashmika recently took to Instagram to talk about her character Nasreen in Mission Majnu.“Verified A character who exhibits unconditional love, innocence, and warmth. Who chooses to always support her loved one unconditionally... who silences her pain, helplessness, and suffering and confronts her love only when she sees no other way. Who, no matter what, tries to bring a smile to the one she loves… she knows she’s not perfect but finds happiness and comfort in everything she can… Nasreen was a beautiful lady to play and I hope she finds a place in all of your hearts… bringing to you Nasreen from #MissionMajnu,” she wrote.
