Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One: Tom Cruise-led actioner collects Rs 73.5 crore in a week in India

Tom Cruise-starrer Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One minted Rs 4.50 crore nett on Tuesday, taking its total collection to Rs 73.5 crore nett in seven days.

Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, the seventh instalment in the Mission: Impossible franchise raked in Rs 12.5 crore nett on its opening day on July 12. The collections dipped slightly on Thursday and Friday, but picked up again over the weekend, earning Rs 64.3 crores nett in India in its first extended weekend.

Also starring Rebecca Ferguson, Hayley Atwell, Vanessa Kirby, Simon Pegg and Ving Rhames, Mission: Impossible 7 saw a steep drop in earnings on Monday (Day 6) as it minted a meagre Rs 5 crore nett.

According to reports by industry tracker Box Office India, the film is expected to cross the lifetime collection (Rs 80 crore nett) of Mission: Impossible — Fallout, the sixth film in the franchise, by the end of its extended first week in theatres, emerging as the highest-grossing movie led by Tom Cruise to ever release in India.

Dead Reckoning Part One is currently the second-highest grossing Hollywood movie to release in India in 2023. Vin Diesel’s Fast X, with a lifetime collection of Rs 108 crore nett, occupies the top position.
