Mission: Impossible 7 earns Rs 9.5 crore in India on Day 2, comfortably beats Karik Aaryan-Kiara Advani’s SatyaPrem Ki Katha

Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One took the wind out of SatyaPrem Ki Katha’s sails for the second day in a row despite a significant drop in the Tom Cruise-starrer’s collection on Thursday, according to trade reports.

Opening in India with Rs 12.5 crore nett on Wednesday, Mission: Impossible 7 experienced a 25 per cent decline in its earnings on Day 2, raking in approximately Rs 9.5 crore nett on Thursday. But it still beat the Kartik Aaryan-Kiara Advani-starrer, which minted only Rs 1.40 crore nett on Day 15, as opposed to Rs 1.65 crore nett on Wednesday, according to Box Office India.

M:I-7 has minted Rs 22 crore nett in India in two days, while SatyaPrem Ki Katha has earned Rs 72.66 crore nett in 15 days.

Vin Diesel’s Fast X remains the only Hollywood movie to have earned more than Dead Reckoning Part One so far in India this year. It had minted Rs 25.1 crore nett in the first two days after its release.

Globally, Mission: Impossible 7 registered an opening of USD 19.3 million, according to Box Office Mojo. The North American market accounted for 80 per cent (USD 15.5 million) of the earnings, while the remaining 20 per cent came from international markets (USD 3.8 million).

According to the US entertainment magazine Variety, Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One is expected to earn USD 250 million worldwide during its extended opening weekend.
