Mismatched actor Rohit Saraf’s upcoming romantic comedy Ishq Vishk: Rebound, a sequel to Shahid Kapoor’s 2003 film Ishq Vishk (2003), will hit theatres on June 28, reveals a new teaser video dropped by the 27-year-old actor on social media on Friday.
“Ishq Vishk mein confusion ho sakta hai, lekin yeh Announcement ekdam clear hai (There might be confusion in love but this announcement is absolutely clear),” Rohit wrote on Instagram post alongside the video.
The teaser begins with Rohit's voiceover pondering the essential elements of a perfect romantic comedy, concluding that love, friendship and a hint of drama are unavoidable and essential. He goes on to suggest that confusion would truly enhance the charm and humour of the situation. The video concludes with a snippet of the title track.
Directed by Nipun Avinash Dharmadhikari, Ishq Vishk: Rebound will also feature Jibraan Khan, Abhishek Kumar, Pashmina Roshan and Naila Grrewal in key roles. It is jointly produced by Ramesh Taurani and Jaya Taurani under the banner of Tips Films.
The sequel to Shahid’s Ishq Vishk is not, however, Rohit’s first appearance on the big screen. He had a brief appearance as Hrithik Roshan’s younger brother in Pushkar–Gayathri’s 2022 actioner Vikram Vedha.
