Actors Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Rasika Dugal, Shweta Tripathi Sharma, Vijay Varma, Anjum Sharma and Isha Talwar appear in the poster for Season 3 of the popular crime thriller series.

Later in the day, the streamer also dropped the first teaser of the upcoming season, offering a peek into the change in power dynamics in Mirzapur.

However, the third season will not feature Divyendu, who played the role of Munna Bhaiya in the previous two instalments, as the actor recently announced his exit from the show.

Created by Karan Anshuman, the first season of Mirzapur came out in 2018. Set in the town of Mirzapur in Uttar Pradesh, Mirzapur revolves around a don named Kaleen Bhaiya (Pankaj Tripathi), who runs an illegal gun business and has a stranglehold over the town. However, his authority is challenged by brothers Guddu Pandit (Ali Fazal) and Bablu Pandit (Vikrant Massey), who get involved with his business after a series of violent events.

Mirzapur Season 2 revolved around Fazal’s Guddu Pandit, who aligned with new allies to avenge the death of his brother Bablu and wife Sweety. The season culminated in another explosive confrontation, leaving the future of Mirzapur uncertain.

A few days back, Prime Video had dropped a caricature featuring important characters from the crime drama with the release date hidden inside it.
