Nearly two months after Mirzapur Season 3, a bonus episode of deleted scenes from the season has dropped on Prime Video. Divyenndu, who played Munna Bhaiya who was bumped off at the end of the second season, returns as the narrator in the bonus episode.

A fan favourite, Munna’s absence in Season 3 didn’t sit well with many viewers. The bonus episode begins with Divyenndu addressing his fans in trademark Munna style. “My exit caused quite a stir. I’ve heard that our loyal fans missed me a lot. Honestly, I missed you all too. Loyalty is paramount to me, and your unwavering support deserves a reward,” he says, announcing that the bonus episode comes with a compilation of deleted seasons from Mirzapur Season 3.

The rivalry between crime lord Akhandanand Tripathi aka Kaleen Bhaiya (Pankaj Tripathi) and Guddu Pandit (Ali Fazal), who challenges his hegemony, came to a head in Season 2, ending with Kaleen grievously injured by Guddu.

In the first deleted scene, Guddu is huddled with his family at their ancestral house. He wants to take his mother Vasudha (Sheeba Chaddha) and sister Dimpy (Harshita Gaur) along with him for their safety but Vasudha declines. She scolds her son for choosing the path of violence.

In a later scene, we see Dimpy and her boyfriend Robin (Priyanshu Painyuli) seeking a lawyer’s help to get her father Ramakant Pandit (Rajesh Tailang) released from jail.

Meanwhile, Golu (Shweta Tripathi) is busy expanding her gang. In one scene, she bursts into the classroom of Gajumal College to recruit the former associates of Munna. When they dither in switching loyalties, she forces them to join her gang at gunpoint.

Yet another deleted scene has Vijay Varma as Shatrughan Tyagi who continues to pretend to be his dead twin Bharat. Shatrughan confides in Sharad Shukla (Anjumm Shharma) that he wants to kill Golu.

Chief minister Madhuri Yadav (Isha Talwar) also makes an appearance in this special episode. In one of the scenes, she is engaged in a heart-to-heart conversation with Sharad, which takes a romantic turn. In another, she is scheming with him on buying the loyalty of dissenting MLAs so that her government survives.

The final deleted scene shows a wounded Golu making her way to Mirzapur to reunite with Guddu, who has escaped from jail, before the shocking climax where all mafia leaders meet to decide the next ganglord of Mirzapur.

Just then, Munna announces: “My time is up. Don’t worry. I’ll keep returning. There’s only one condition — keep sending your love for Mirzapur.” If Munna keeps his promise, then more ‘bonus episodes’ might be in store.

Season 3 of this crime action drama set in Uttar Pradesh’s Mirzapur and produced by Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment dropped four years after the second season. All three seasons of Mirzapur are currently streaming on Prime Video.
