The trailer of the late Satish Kaushik’s last film Mirg, also featuring Raj Babbar and Shwetaabh Singh, dropped on Wednesday, promising a revenge drama involving a corrupt politician, his former henchman and a gunman.
Satish, a Bollywood veteran, finished shooting his portion for Mirg before his death on March 9 last year following a cardiac arrest. He played a hired assassin in the Tarun Sharma-helmed movie set in the jungles of Himalayas.
Mirg has been named after the mountain leopard found in the lower regions of Himachal Pradesh. It also features Anup Soni and Suhani Popli in pivotal roles.
The two-minute-eight-second-long trailer follows Anil (Shwetaabh), who works as a pageboy for Raj Babbar’s corrupt politician. But things change for him when he gets attached to one of his coworkers, prompting him to question his allegiance and blind obedience. The politician, however, doesn’t want to leave loose ends and thus hires a gunman (Satish) to eliminate Anil.
Presented by A Studio RA in association with NaMA Productions & OneShot Films, Mirg is slated to arrive in cinemas on February 9.
Though Mirg is the last movie for which the late actor had shot, Satish will be seen on the big screen for the last time in Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency, which will release on June 14.
