Shahid Kapoor’s wife Mira Rajput reviewed Teri Baaton Mein Aisha Uljha Jiya after catching the movie at a special pre-release screening on Tuesday night, saying the romantic comedy made her “laugh from the heart” after ages.
The Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon-starrer released on Friday.
“Complete laughter riot! Entertainment overload after ages! Love, laughter, masti, dancing and heart touching message at the end,” the 29-year-old model and social media influencer wrote in her Instagram stories alongside a picture of Shahid and Kriti.
Heaping praise on the actor duo for their performances in the film, Mira wrote, “@kritisanon you were Pitch Perfect. @shahidkapoor The OG Lover-Boy, there’s no one like you. You made my heart melt.”
“Watch TBMAUJ now. Dil se hasaaya (made me laugh from the heart), stomach is hurting,” Mira, who has been married to Shahid since July 7, 2015, signed off.
A number of Bollywood celebrities including Janhvi Kapoor, Jackky Bhagnani, Rakul Preet, Kunal Kemmu and Ashish Chanchlani attended the special screening held in Mumbai. Shahid’s parents Pankaj Kapur and Neelima Azeem were also present.
Touted as an “impossible love story”, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha is about the romance brewing between Shahid’s robotics expert and humanoid robot Sifra, played by Kriti. The movie derives its name from the 2004 song Teri Baaton by Raghav, a new version of which has been incorporated into the film as its title track.
Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljham, directed by Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah, marks the first collaboration between Shahid and Kriti. It was initially slated to release in October 2023.
On Tuesday, Maddock Films announced that Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljham has made it to the list of IMDb’s most-anticipated new Indian movies. “The excitement for Aryan & SIFRA’s impossible pyaar has spread all over ,” the production banner wrote in the caption.
