Actress Mimi Chakraborty has dished out a caustic ballad called Bhallagchena for fans on her YouTube channel.
The two-and-a-half-minute long music video premiered on the Raktabeej star’s YouTube channel Mimi Chakraborty Creation on Sunday. It has quickly gained attention for its bold stance against social media judgements, online trolling and pointless political lectures.
Conceptualised by Mimi herself, the Bhallagchena music video was directed by Tuhin. The song has been composed by Taposh.
This is not the first time Mimi has showcased her singing talent. The actress-MP made her singing debut in 2019 with a single from her film Mon Jaane Na, where she starred alongside Yash Dasgupta. The song, a reprise version of Keno Je Toke, was met with acclaim from fans.
Apart from her musical endeavours, Mimi has been making waves across different entertainment platforms. She marked her OTT debut with the Hoichoi web series Jaha Bolibo Shotto Bolibo, directed by Chandrasish Ray, in January 2024. In 2023, she made her Bollywood debut with Shastry Virudh Shastry, a Hindi remake of her Bengali film Posto.
