Hollywood couple Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones rang in their new year celebrations in India with a kiss as they returned to the country after November, the Fatal Attraction actor revealed in a short video shared on Tuesday.
Douglas shared a video of himself and Zeta-Jones in the backdrop of a new year’s party in Hyderabad. “Happy New Year everybody! Have a great, great 2024! Lots of love, M & C,” he captioned the post.
Douglas and Zeta-Jones had last visited India in November as the former was honoured with the Satyajit Ray Lifetime Achievement Award at the International Film Festival of India 2023 in Goa.
Both Douglas and Zeta-Jones have returned to India with their children — Dylan and Carys — to enjoy a family vacation during the holiday season. They already visited Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Hyderabad states to explore exotic locations and historic sites.
On Sunday, Douglas shared a video of him enjoying time with family in front of the Bay of Bengal. Calling India an “extraordinary country”, the 79-year-old actor wrote, “Here we are on the Bay of Bengal. It’s just an extraordinary country, , especially, enjoying the south, never been down here before, and just magical people, and just a wonderful time.”
Douglas has been actively sharing pictures from his India vacation on social media. “Happy TGIF from ! The family and I wish you all a great final weekend of the year,” he wrote alongside a set of pictures featuring his wife and children at Tamil Nadu’s Mahabalipuram.
Douglas also shared pictures from a monastery he visited on December 19, 2023. “We love you ❤️ @catherinezetajones,” he captioned the post.
India seems to have become a favoured destination for international celebrities during the Christmas week and new year holidays. Apart from the Douglases, singer-songwriter Dua Lipa recently visited Rajasthan and Delhi with her family as part of her holiday celebrations.
