A new trailer for Ti West’s highly-anticipated horror film MaXXXine was dropped by the makers on Wednesday, offering a glimpse into Maxine's relentless quest to track down the 'devil' — a notorious stalker and ruthless killer targeting aspiring actors.
“Meet Maxine Minx, America’s new scream queen ,” the official handle of A24 Films wrote on X alongside the nearly one-and-a-half-minute trailer.
The first trailer, released two months ago, showed Maxine moving to Los Angeles in the early 1980s with an aim to make a name for herself. However, she quickly becomes the target of a notorious serial killer who is also being traced by the police. The new trailer highlights Maxine's determination as she navigates this perilous pursuit. The video also depicts Maxine being tormented by the ghosts of her past.
Set in 1985, MaXXXine is the concluding chapter in Ti West's X trilogy, following the 2022 releases X and Pearl, with Mia Goth reprising her role from the previous films.
The ensemble cast of the film includes Elizabeth Debicki, Moses Sumney, Michelle Monaghan, Bobby Cannavale, Halsey, Lily Collins, Giancarlo Esposito and Kevin Bacon.
MaXXXine is set for a theatrical release in the US on July 5.
