The new show Meyebela on Star Jalsha celebrates the friendship and the emotional dependence between the women in a family. This show sees the comeback of actor Roopa Ganguly on television. Roopa plays the character of Bithika, who was an ambitious woman in her younger days but was unable to follow her passions after her marriage.

She is now the mother-in-law of the household and the entire story revolves around her. The central plot of Meyebela spins around the lives of Bithika, Mohona played by Swikriti Majumder and Nirjhar played by Arpan Ghoshal. Mohona has a tough upbringing because her mother remarried after her father passed away when she was a child. Fate pairs her up with Bithika, who also experienced great suffering. Despite all the obstacles, Mohona is determined to win over her mother-inlaw. The story progresses as both become acquainted while living under one roof as mother-in-law and daughter-in-law.

Meyebela is produced by Surinder Films, which has created popular shows like Kiranmala, Mahapeeth Tarapeeth, Ekhane Akash Neel in the past.

Speaking on this occasion, a channel spokesperson said: “We are extremely proud to present Meyebela where Roopa Ganguly is making her comeback. We promise our audience an emotional roller-coaster ride as the storyline will change the perspective of the audience and they will witness the blooming relationship of a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law. The show will place a voice of reason before the viewers. It will also make an argument for perspectives and will encourage the viewers to try and put themselves in the other person’s shoes and think.” Watch Meyebela from Monday to Sunday at 7.30pm only on Star Jalsha.
