Actor Varun Dhawan’s niece Anjini Dhawan is set to make her Bollywood debut with the coming-of-age drama Binny And Family. Here's a look at the 24-year-old's life, career and fashion choices.
Directed by Ssanjay Tripaathy, the upcoming film stars Anjini as Binny, a rebellious young adult who grapples with misunderstandings and conflicts arising from a generation gap with her grandparents, played by Pankaj Kapoor and Himani Shivpuri. Slated to hit theatres in September, the film also stars Rajesh Kumar and Charu Shankar. Following the release of the film’s trailer on Friday, Varun penned a note welcoming Anjini to the industry.
Born in 2000, Anjini is the daughter of Siddharth Dhawan and Reena Dhawan. Siddharth is Varun Dhawan’s cousin. Anjini is the granddaughter of veteran actor Anil Dhawan.
As per media reports, Anjini had previously worked as an assistant director on the sets of Varun’s 2019 film Coolie No. 1, which starred actress Sara Ali Khan as the female lead.
