After recently appearing together in Christopher Nolan’s Oscar-winning film Oppenheimer, Matt Damon and Casey Affleck are again teaming up for Doug Liman’s The Instigators, reveals a new trailer of the action comedy.
Dropped by Apple TV+ on Thursday, the trailer revolves around Rory (Damon), a struggling father who reluctantly joins forces with ex-convict Cobby (Affleck) to rob a corrupt politician. When their plan goes awry, they find themselves on the run from both the police and a network of corrupt officials and underground criminals. During their escape, they manage to enlist the help of Rory’s therapist (Hong Chau).
“Boston’s most wanted. And least qualified. Matt Damon and Casey Affleck star in The Instigators, streaming August 9,” the official handle of Apple Original Films wrote on X alongside the two-minute-21-second trailer.
