Divided into Red and Blue teams, six home cooks at MasterChef India Season 8 had to craft a gourmet-level street food platter as part of an offsite challenge at Saffron, a restaurant of JW Marriott in Mumbai, in the latest episode of Season 8 of the cooking reality show on Wednesday.
Led by Rukhsaar Sayeed, the Red team consisted of Nambie Jessica Marak, and Suraj Thapa. “Being chosen as the captain of the Red Team was an honour and a challenge. We put our hearts into creating a street food platter. The competition was tough but the Red Team was ready to face whatever came our way,” said Rukhsaar.
Nidhi Sharma, who led the Blue team of Mohammed Aashiq and Harish Closepet, said they aimed to bring innovation and excellence to their street food platter. “The experience was undoubtedly an unforgettable one. We will forever cherish the memories we created in the kitchen.”
The two-part challenge will continue on November 23 with the Red and Blue teams competing against each other to come up with the coveted dish that should suit the culinary standards of Saffron.
Chefs Vikas Khanna, Ranveer Brar and Pooja Dhingra are the judges of the cooking reality show this season, which is currently streaming on SonyLIV from Monday to Friday at 8pm.
