Actor couple Masaba Gupta and Satyadeep Mishra are pregnant with their first child, they announced in a joint Instagram post on Thursday.
“In other news - Two little feet are on their way to us! Please send love, blessings and banana chips (plain salted ONLY),” Masaba wrote alongside three images including one with her husband.
While the first two pictures carry emojis of a pregnant woman and a couple with heart eyes, the third photo is a monochrome one which shows the couple sitting on the floor. Clad in a white bathrobe, Masaba rests her head on Satyadeep’s shoulder, and smiles with her eyes closed.
Bollywood celebrities showered the couple with best wishes in the comments section. “Congratulations best girl, best momma to be and to dear Sattuuu. Too happy to hear this,” Kareena Kapoor Khan, who is currently basking in the success of her women-centric drama Crew, wrote. Kareena’s Crew co-star Kriti Sanon also congratulated the couple.
“Congratsss mama,” Parineeti Chopra wrote, while Ananya Panday commented, “Whaaaat! Congratulations.” Konkona Sen Sharma expressed her delight by writing, “What wonderful news! Many congratulations.”
Alia Bhatt, Soha Ali Khan, Shilpa Shetty, Mouni Roy, Malaika Arora and Shehnaz Gill were also among the Bollywood actresses who wished the couple.
Alia’s mother Soni Razdan assured Masaba that the mum-to-be will have her as a babysitter when the time comes. “Don’t worry Masu @masabagupta you will have at least one more babysitter right here when Nani is busy. Now have some more experience also,” she wrote.
Masaba’s mother Neena Gupta took to her Instagram and shared the monochrome picture on her feed. “Humare bacchon ka baccha aane Wala hai. Isse zyada Khushi ki baat Kya ho sakti hai (Our children are going to have a baby. What could be a happier news than this?”),” she wrote in the caption.
Masaba and Satyadeep tied the knot on January 27 last year. “Married my ocean of calm, this morning. Here’s to many many lifetimes of love, peace, stability & most importantly laughter,” the fashion designer-turned-Netflix star wrote alongside her wedding pictures on Instagram.
The couple reportedly started dating in 2020 after meeting on the sets of the show Masaba Masaba.
