Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury is back from space to take on a rogue group of shape-shifting aliens that is infiltrating the Earth and conspiring to take control over humans in the latest teaser of Marvel Cinematic Universe’s upcoming series Secret Invasion, set to stream on Disney+ Hotstar from June 21.
Dropped by Marvel Studios’ on Sunday, the one-minute-long video begins with Nick Fury talking to Don Cheadle’s Rhodey about the Skrull (shapeshifting aliens) invasion. The scene then cuts to a montage of the Skrulls showing their deadly shapeshifting skills. We then see Olivia Colman as Sonya Falsworth, an MI6 agent talking to Fury about informing his ‘special friends’. However, Fury is determined to fight this battle alone.
Emilia Clarke is then introduced as Talos’ grown-up daughter G'iah — a Skrull who grew up on Earth. She has resentment towards Fury for not keeping his promise of making the Earth a safe place for the troubled Skrulls. The teaser also shows Fury in hand-to-hand combat with Kingsley Ben-Adir’s Gravik, who is the rebel Skrull leader on a mission to infiltrate the Earth. The video ends with a montage of action sequences as Fury takes down a helicopter.
“In one month, the invasion is here. Marvel Studios’ #SecretInvasion starts streaming June 21 on @DisneyPlus,” a tweet from Marvel Studios read.
