A new Martin Scorsese-backed documentary film Beatles’ 64, based on the British boy band The Beatles’ first America trip in 1964, is set to release on Disney+ on November 29, the band announced on their official Instagram handle on Monday.

“Prepare to experience the electrifying moment when The Beatles first touched down in America. "Beatles’64", an all-new documentary from producer Martin Scorsese and director David Tedeschi, is streaming exclusively on @disneyplus November,” reads the caption of the post alongside a picture of the band featuring George Harrison, John Lennon, Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney coming down from the plane, waving at the crowd at JFK International airport in New York.

Directed by David Tedeschi, the documentary will showcase unseen glimpses of the band during their trip to America and their live performances in Washington DC. The documentary also includes interviews with the surviving band members, Paul and Ringo.

Rare footage of the band during their trip, recorded by two documentary filmmakers Albert and David Maysles, and restored by Park Road Post production house from New Zealand, will be shown in this film.

The documentary will be Scorsese’s second project on The Beatles after his 2011 directorial documentary George Harrison: Living in the Material World, which focused on the life and spiritual journey of the band’s lead guitarist. Scorsese has also made musical documentaries about Bob Dylan and the band.

Earlier this year, filmmaker Peter Jackson restored the 1970 documentary Let It Be, which was released on Disney+. The film features rare footage and performance clips from the band’s iconic rooftop concert at their Apple Corps headquarters at 3 Savile Row, London.
